Before and After LASIK Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C.
Description
Dr. Andrew Holzman and his staff will explain what is done before and after LASIK surgery at his Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. Holzman Laser Vision Centers. Before the surgery, Dr. Holzman will give the patient instructions, and give them a xanex. After, the patient will take a three hour nap, and wake up to clearer vision.
On the day of treatment you will need a driver to bring you to our office because we’re going to be operating on your eyes, and we’re going to be giving you a sedative to help you relax and to sleep after the procedure. When you arrive at the office, we will probably be repeating some tests that day, and I will be examining your eyes. I will also sit you in a room and explain to you what I want you concentrating on and how I want you thinking during the procedure; what you’re going to need to look at and what you need to know. The Xanax pill will help you relax. The surgery itself only takes 10 to 12 minutes, and I talk you through the entire procedure. There’s music playing, and it really is a very calming experience. Sometimes we try to have fun with you, believe it or not. After the surgery is over, we send you home for a three hour nap. The nap is important because the eyes can sting and tear for a few hours after the surgery if you’re awake. After the nap you wake up and you’re seeing much, much better, and you’re ready to start the rest of your day.
