Last week was a landmark week for us in Tysons Corner, as we were operating in our new state of the art center on Jones Branch Drive and we welcomed our new clincal director, Dr Jen Weigel. Jen hit the ground running and is excited about some changes we are making that are both patient friendly and very positive for the affiliate network of Doctors as well. Dr Weigel is an excellent clinician, whose main concern is our patient’s eye health and safety as it relates to Laser Vision Correction. However, Dr Weigel is also very focused on excellent customer service, keeping the patient experience first class and promoting new ways for our affiliate network of Doctors to stay in the loop with our co-managed cases. In the next few weeks, we will be introducing a new website just for our affiliates, and other innovative ways to keep all of our participating Doctors on the same page always. I am very excited to have Dr Weigel on board and now we can really focus on creative ways to make our experience (the best LASIK experience in the DC Metro area) even better!!
Also, I am very happy to have our two surgical technicians, maria oettinger and jennifer phung, back from their maternity leaves! They incredibly got pregnant within a month of one another, so we have missed them over the past few months. The other techs, Eleni Katsikes and Kristina O’neill have done a fantastic job this summer in the OR, and I commend them for such fine work. We all welcome back Maria and Jen, and give them a huge congratulations on the births of their baby girls, Isla Oettinger and Caitlyn Phung! Best wishes to their whole families…
