Dr. Andrew Holzman provides donation of Lasik Eye Surgery at
College Bound Golf Tournament
Leesburg, VA (July 27, 2011) – Dr. Andrew Holzman, Medical Director of Tyson’s Corner
has generously donated Lasik Eye Surgery at cost for the second year in a row in support of Washington,
D.C.-based charity, College Bound, Inc. (www.collegebound.org) on the occasion of their annual Golf
Tournament and Silent Auction Fundraiser.
Founded in 1991, College Bound, Inc., a Washington, D.C. based, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization,
offers public and public charter school students in grades 8-12 from at-risk communities, academic
enrichment and resources to graduate from high school and then prepare for and succeed in college.
While 11 students drop out of D.C. area public and public charter schools every day, through programs
such as one-on-one academic mentoring by adult, volunteers, 100% of College Bound students graduate
from high school each year. In addition, for the last 2 years, 100% of College Bound students have
matriculated to college!
College Bound, Inc. holds its annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction Fundraiser to raise critical
financial support and to raise awareness about the organization. Held at the beautiful River Creek
Country Club in Leesburg, Virginia, the tournament consists of a fun filled day of golf, followed by
dinner, silent auction and award ceremony. This year the tournament and silent auction brought in over
$31,000.00.

work the organization does in fulfilling its mission to improve the lives of high schoolers in Washington,

One of the top sought after silent auction items is the Lasik Eye Surgery donated by Dr. Andrew
Holzman. For the second year in a row, Dr. Holzman has donated this procedure at cost to the silent
auction. Dr. Andrew Holzman, a renowned LASIK surgeon and a leader in the field of laser eye surgery,
serves patients from his offices in McLean and Charlottesville, VA. When it comes to laser vision
correction, there is no substitute for experience and Dr. Holzman has performed over 90,000 vision
correction procedures.
